Think I’m going to Debut February 25, 2007

party-invite.jpgLast night, while I was cleaning my house, I started thinking about having my business debut. I realize that most consultants that have these do them relatively quickly after becoming a consultant. I didn’t originally want to have one, but I have changed my mind. I think it would be a great chance for me to learn some things from my director. She has offered to do this for me, and I’ve never really given her a firm yes or no, but I’m going to email her today and let her know that I have decided to do this. I think I’m going to plan it for the weekend after Career Conference. I figure I’ll be on a pretty good “pink high” at that point, so I think it will be good timing. I’m not exactly sure what all will go into it, and unitnet is down right now, so I can’t look there, but I really want to plan this well. Has anyone reading this had a debut? Any ideas on what works and what doesn’t? I want this to be HUGE! I figure since I have a month to plan it, I have the time to do as much as possible. Any tips?

I think a debut is a great idea!I just joined this afternoon, mostly for personal use myself.I think that if you can do your debut that would be great.Great way to let everyone know what your business is and start building a customer base.

Well, I have just under a month to get everything organized, so hopefully by then I should have some clue what I’m going to do that day. My next couple of weeks are crammed with things to do, so I guess I’ll have a few late nights getting everything prepared. I am setting up a helping hands booth at a car show next weekend, so I am busy trying to get everything organized for that. There is a lot of planning for it, since it is an all day event. And, of course, I have career conference the following weekend, so by the time my debut gets here, I’ll be completely exhausted and excited all at the same time.

I’m so excited for you joining today! I know you said it was mostly for personal use, but you never know! Maybe it will be more for you some day. You have my support, but I’m sure you knew that, and I’m sure you have plenty of others that support you as well. Best of luck. I hope you get all that you want from it, even if it is just the discount! ;)

Debuts are awesome! I think you can plan this in less than a week. It is best to focus on getting people there, the details will not matter if no one is there to admire your work. We have to show our hostesses that planning an event does not take so long as they think!
